We arrived in Cordoba in the middle of their festival season - the festival of patios opens a lot of the inner courtyards and patios, and a number of them compete for prizes. The festival of patios has been supplemented by a festival of balconies and railings with its own competition.
We ended up at a wonderful hostal after the place we had reserved through AirBnB was a bust. The woman hoping to rent it either underestimated the work needed to make it habitable or was trying to con some unlucky travelers. We told her we couldn't stay there and asked her to call around and find us a place. Our new place has a lovely courtyard.
Lots of wonderful art around town...
We ended the day with an evening tour of patios (on Friday and Saturday the patios are open until midnight) and attended a free music/flamenco dance performance.
